The Healing Hubs recognises that our activities have an impact on the environment. We are committed to operating in an environmentally responsible way, reducing our carbon footprint, and encouraging sustainable practices across everything we do.

1. Our commitment

The Healing Hubs is committed to minimising the environmental impact of our operations and activities.

We will comply with all relevant environmental legislation and strive to go beyond minimum legal requirements where practicable.

We will integrate environmental considerations into our decision-making processes.

2. Energy and carbon

We will seek to reduce energy consumption across all our activities, including the venues and spaces we use.

Where possible, we will choose venues and suppliers that share our commitment to environmental responsibility.

We will encourage staff and volunteers to consider the environmental impact of travel and to use public transport, cycling, or car-sharing where practicable.

3. Waste reduction

We will seek to reduce waste generated by our activities, including paper, packaging, and single-use items.

We will encourage recycling and the responsible disposal of waste at all our events and activities.

We will move towards digital communications and record-keeping wherever possible to reduce paper use.

4. Procurement

When purchasing goods and services, we will consider the environmental credentials of suppliers and products.

We will favour locally sourced, recycled, or sustainably produced goods where cost-effective and practicable.

5. Awareness and culture

We will raise awareness of environmental issues among our staff, volunteers, and service users.

We will encourage environmentally responsible behaviour as part of our organisational culture.

6. Review

This statement will be reviewed annually by the Board of Trustees.

We will set and monitor environmental targets and report on our progress each year.
