Our services

Support that meets you where you are.

From weekly meeting places (Aldershot and Alton) to Brunch Clubs, Christmas Lunches, Summer BBQs and Fundraising events — all delivered with compassion, respect and a hearty helping of fun and laughter!

How we work

Every person who comes to The Healing Hubs is unique. That's why we don't offer a one-size-fits-all approach. We take the time to understand your situation and connect you with the right support.

Most of our services are free to access, and no referral is needed for our hubs. Our telephone befriending service is free and available to NHS-referred individuals across England and Wales.

Who is this for?

The Healing Hubs is for all adults, aged 18–99+. You do not have to have a diagnosis, have a crisis, or have any particular reason to come along — you are welcome.

If you do have a diagnosis, or you have a crisis going on — you are also welcome. We are here for you, whatever the 'weather'.

Our services in detail

Monday & Friday Meeting Places

A warm welcome, every week.

Monday & Friday Meeting Places

Our Monday and Friday Meeting Places bring isolated older adults together for social contact, activities, and wellbeing support. Running since December 2022, both sessions run 11am–2pm and together support around 40 people each week — many of whom receive no formal home care and for whom this is their only regular contact with others.

  • Monday Meeting Place: 11am–2pm — Weybourne Road, Aldershot, Hampshire, GU11 3NE
  • Friday Meeting Place: 11am–2pm — Anstey Park, Anstey Lane, Alton, Hampshire, GU34 2NB
  • Activities include: Know Your Numbers blood pressure monitoring, seated exercise, and laughter yoga
  • Social activities, wellbeing support, and friendship
  • Open to isolated older adults — no referral needed
  • A donation to attend is requested — helping us keep the doors open for everyone
  • Transport assistance available on request* — a donation contribution is appreciated

Befriending Brunch

Friendship and a warm start to the week.

Befriending Brunch

We visit two sheltered housing schemes weekly, offering befriending alongside a hot brunch for residents who are significantly isolated and financially insecure. These sessions provide a vital lifeline for people who are, in the words of one of our partners, 'one step up from homeless.'

  • Thursday: Bourne Court, Manor Road, Aldershot, Hampshire, GU11 3DL
  • Hot brunch included at every session
  • Activities include: Know Your Numbers blood pressure monitoring, seated exercise, and laughter yoga
  • Focused on the most financially insecure and isolated residents

Sheltered housing residents who are isolated, financially insecure, and in need of regular human connection.

Telephone Befriending

A friend at the end of the line.

Telephone Befriending

Our free telephone befriending service supports lonely and isolated people at home across England and Wales. Delivered entirely by trained volunteers we recruit, train, and manage, it provides a regular, caring phone call for people who may otherwise have no one to talk to. We have supported people through telephone befriending until the very end of their lives, so no one faces that time alone.

  • Free of charge — funded by donations and grants
  • Available across England and Wales
  • NHS referrals welcomed
  • Delivered by trained, supported volunteers

Who this is for

Lonely and isolated people at home, including those referred by NHS services across England and Wales.
